Expect "great family fare with a twist" at this Pasadena American, which owner Robin Salzer has turned from an "upscale coffee shop" into a major destination for BBQ; most nights, he offers "all-you-can-eat" options and still serves his much-loved big breakfasts on weekends; yes, kids eat free on Wednesdays.

Robins Wood Fire BBQ & Grill in East Pasadena, was

recently named as one of the top three BBQ restaurants

in LA by the Zagat Guide. A casual ambiance with lots

of memorabilia on the walls and just the right atmosphere

for a BBQ place.

Robin’s has good news for bargain hunters. Come on Monday after 4 pm and enjoy unlimited BBQ chicken beef ribs,

hot links, corn, hot fries and slaw for $13.95.

Come on Tuesday after 4 pm for unlimited smoked links

and ribs and all the extras. On Thursday for both pork

and beef ribs with fresh cut fries and slaw for $13.95.

For a change of pace on Wednesday and Friday after

4 there’s beer battered fish and fries for $8.95.

You might also consider Robins Garbage Can Lid platter

with onion rings, fries, hot wings, spare ribs, beef ribs,

and links on a garbage can lid. $16.95 and

two can easily share.

Robins has lots of other dishes on the menu including

super Sunday night with BBQ chicken, ribs and onion

rings on those garbage can lids -all you can eat -$13.95.

Kids eat free on Wednesday and Sunday evenings when

ordering from the children’s menu.
